I was born in Jamaica and raised in Canada, with Africa always present in history – but distant in lived experience.
That changed with a single visit to Ghana.
From the moment I arrived, something settled in me. Even though I didn’t know the systems or the pace, Ghana didn’t feel foreign. It felt familiar.
